COMING OF AGE ON SABA
Growing up on Saba in the Nineteen Forties was no new experience for the then generation. Nothing had changed from the old days, and no changes were expected. But all of a sudden I came in contact with the refrigerator, popularly known on Saba as a frigidaire, and the Jeep. The following stories are my boyhood experiences with what for me then were the marvels of modern technology.
